The South Korean brand is launching a variety of smartphones, with their latest release being the Samsung Galaxy S23. It also has an updated version of the same, namely Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. We analyzed both – Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra – to learn more about the differences in their specs

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra measures 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 234 grams. It is built with glass on the front and back with aluminum frames. The phone supports nano SIM and eSIM or dual SIM (2 nano SIMs). The aluminum frame is said to protect the phone from falls and to be scratch-resistant. It’s also dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is slightly smaller as it measures 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6mm and weighs 168 grams. The build and SIM approval are similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra as this model also has an aluminum frame with glass on the front and back. It’s also dust and water resistant for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 meters. It supports nano SIM and eSIM or dual SIM.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has adopted Dynamic AMOLED technology for the display with a refresh speed of 120 Hz and brightness ranging from 1200 nits to 1750 nits. The size is larger at 6.8 inches with 89.9% screen-to-body. The resolution is 1440 x 3088 pixels and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 features similar technology to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the size is different as this is smaller at 6.1 inches with a screen-to-body ratio of 86.8%. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and the protection is also the same as S23 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is packed with features like 200 MP f/1.7 (wide angle), 10 MP f/4.9 (periscope telephoto), 10 MP f/2.4 (telephoto), 12 MP f/ 2.2 (ultrawide) main camera LED flash, auto HDR and panorama. The Samsung Galaxy S23 has three main cameras with 50 MP f/1.8 (wide), 10 MP f/2.4 (telephoto), 12 MP f/2.2 (ultra wide). Other than that, the selfie camera, the features of both the front and rear cameras, the video quality on both the front and the back is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Storage
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has an internal memory of 256 GB with 8 GB and 12 GB RAM, 512 GB with 12 GB RAM and 1 TB with 12 GB RAM. This model does not allow expansion of storage space.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is expected to have 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of internal storage with 8GB of RAM. This model also does not allow for expansion of the storage space.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra also has a 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery. The non-removable battery supports 15W wired, wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. It’s expected to be 65% charged in 30 minutes with 45W wired charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 has a 3900 mAh lithium-ion battery. The non-removable battery is expected to be 50% charged in 30 minutes with 25W wired charging. It also supports 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
