Actress Shraddha Kapoor is ready for the release of her upcoming movie Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar starring Ranbir Kapoor. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film promises to traverse the complications of modern relationships and romance. In a recent interview, Shraddha spoke about working with Ranbir and expressed her admiration for his “versatility”.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Shraddha, who has experimented with different roles in a career spanning more than a decade, said: “I’ve always wanted to work with Ranbir. I admire him so much as an actor. I think he’s an absolutely brilliant actor. He’s shown his versatility in so many different films and that’s why I was very excited to work with him because I wanted to know what he’s like on set and what it’s like (working with him).” She added that she hope people would enjoy seeing them together. She also mentioned that Luv Ranjan has his own brand of cinema, as evidenced by the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise, as well as Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety, both starring Kartik Aaryan.
Shraddha was last seen in a cameo for Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya, touted as part of the “horror universe” that began with Stree in 2018. Shraddha, who performed the popular song Thumkeshwari, was asked about the possibility of collaborating with Once Again Varun Dhawan and the actor said, “I hope we get a film where we are reunited. We’re getting a lot of love on social media and we hope something happens soon.” There’s been a lot of discussion about Stree 2 and the cementing of the horror universe, but nothing has materialized as of yet.
Shraddha’s recent releases have included Saaho, Street Dancer 3D and Baaghi 3. Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar is scheduled for release on March 8th.
