konami and Bloober team announced this week that they are currently working on a new one Silent Hill 2 remake, revitalizes the horror game on the latest generation of consoles and PC. To whet your appetite before the new games launch, a 3 minute Gameplay trailer has been released and offers a first look at the reimagining of the horror classic that first debuted in 2001.
Motoi Okamoto Producer at Konami Digital Entertainment and Mateusz Lenart Creative Director and Lead Designer at Bloober Team took to the official PlayStation blog this week to reveal more details about the new one Silent Hill 2 remake and what can you expect.
“Twenty-one years have passed since the release of Silent Hill 2 for PlayStation 2 and the big leap in technology allows us to be even closer, at least in some aspects, to how Team Silent would have liked their game to be back in 2001. Using state-of-the-art motion capture sessions, we’re able to deliver the best facial expressions in the series’ history, showing a wide range of emotions before a character even says a word.”

The single-player horror survival game played from the third-person perspective is yet to receive an official release date, but as always, we’ll keep you updated as more details are announced and confirmed by Konami and Bloober.
“One of our main goals is to preserve the atmosphere that created it Silent Hill 2 so exceptional, while at the same time modernizing many aspects of the game’s overall gameplay. We work closely with the original creators, including Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito, to ensure we keep the unique Silent Hill feel intact. One of the new elements you could spot in the reveal trailer is the introduction of an over-the-shoulder camera. With this change, we want to further immerse players in the game, make them feel like part of this unreal world, and give them a more immersive experience across the board.
