Sky Mobile said it was still working to resolve issues with its service after thousands of customers reported outages.
On Tuesday afternoon, the online failure monitor Downdetector registered thousands of user reports about problems with Sky and O2 services.
The problem apparently began shortly after 2 p.m. when both mobile networks failed at the same time.
Customers took to Twitter and other social media platforms to complain about the issues.
Hundreds of O2 customers were reporting outages, but the network has now confirmed it was linked to users being unable to reach Sky Mobile customers.
The Sky Help team said on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon that they were investigating the problem.
Most services appeared to be back up and running on Wednesday morning, although Downdetector received 152 reporting reports by 6.30am.
In a message posted to Twitter on Wednesday morning, Sky Help said it was aware of “the issues” with its mobile service, which teams are working to resolve as quickly as possible.

So is it possible to get a refund if there has been a failure?
Yes, but the amount of compensation and how you can claim it depends on the issue.
In April 2021 Ofcom introduced a law called the Automatic Compensation Scheme, which entitles both broadband and fixed-line customers of selected providers to a refund of money in the event of outages.
