It was announced on Friday November 11th that Kevin Conroy had passed away at the age of 66. He was best known for his iconic beloved work as the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series.
Conroy has set unbroken records as the voice of Batman. He brought the character to life in nearly 60 projects. This included 15 films, 15 animated series consisting of almost 400 episodes, more than 100 hours of television and 12 video games. He even got to play the character in live-action at Arrowverse’s 2019-2020 crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths”.
Many considered Conroy to be their definitive Batman, having grown up on the animated series. The amazing and profound storytelling of this series is one that endures and continues to this day. Throughout the day, many shared their brief statements reacting to the loss of a pop culture legend.
