Social media reacts to the Sooners’ victory over Texas

The Oklahoma Sooners made another statement in Friday night’s 8-1 win over the Texas Longhorns.

After Jordy Bahl gave up the first home run, she buckled up. Despite struggling with some control issues, she threw a tough outing with 108 pitches, six strikeouts and only two hits allowed in the entire game win.

Jayda Coleman’s first punch was critical. She capitalized on a misplayed ball in left field and used an aggressive base run to land on third base. It didn’t take Tiare Jennings long to eliminate Texas’ one-run lead with an RBI single late in the first race. Jennings then opened the game in the second with her eighth home run of the season, a three-run bomb.

Jennings was phenomenal to lead Oklahoma to victory.

Oklahoma has improved to 31-1 for the season and is in the midst of a 23-game winning streak.

The win had Sooner Nation buzzing on Friday night. Here’s a look at some of the best reactions on Twitter.

K9 is a beast and of course the same could be said of Kenneth Murray. But we’re talking about Kinnzie Hanson.

And every time Texas coach Mike White steps out of the dugout, he gets it from #Sooners fans. (Completely surprising)

I can’t wait to have these two teams in the @SEC
IDC when they slow us down most of the time. I want UGA and UGA fans to care about softball like these fans do. Hopefully our fans are arrogant enough to care if UT and OU fans show us at our own venue πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Texas Coach Mike White: β€œOklahoma is definitely a program that we would all like to be. … They’re the team to beat, there’s no doubt about that. … It’s hard going out there and getting their butt kicked day in and day out.” #Formerly

Tiare Jennings BLASTS a three-run HR to left center to put #Sooners 4-1 up. Hit the warning track and jumped the deep fence.
