Network Buildout is part of Spectrum’s $5 billion Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) investment in rural broadband
ASHEVILLE, NC – Spectrum today announced the launch of Spectrum’s Internet, mobile, TV and voice services to more than 1,000 homes and small businesses in western North Carolina. Spectrum’s newly built fiber optic network rollout in Henderson, Polk and Buncombe counties is part of the company’s approximately $5 billion investment in underserved rural communities, including more than $1 billion raised in Federal Communications’ RDOF auction Commission (FCC) were won. The company’s RDOF expansion will provide broadband access to approximately 1 million customer locations in 24 states over the coming years, as estimated by the FCC.

Broadband speeds of up to 1Gbps, plus money-saving mobile options and 85,000 on-demand options
Spectrum offers customers a premium suite of products, highlighted by Spectrum Internet plans with speeds up to 1 Gbps for residential and small business customers, starting speeds of 300 Mbps, and no modem fees, data caps, or contracts. Spectrum Business Internet offers download speeds of 300 Mbps, 600 Mbps, and 1 Gbps.

Spectrum was also a participant on day one of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides eligible families in financial need with high-quality, high-speed Internet service at a low — or even free — cost. All Spectrum Internet plans are eligible for ACP credits.
