Opening up to her legal partner Robinson, she said: “I knew I was different from my siblings. I prayed that someone would understand me and not look at me and my mistakes and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single person I ever prayed for as a child.”
Although all the singer was originally looking for was love, it dawned on the star that she needed something else. She explained: “I thought I just needed love. Not me. i needed a friend And you were to me.” Robinson, on the other hand, wanted to be more than just friends with the four-time Grammy nominee.
He told her during the application, “I’m not just ready, I’m ready. So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t wanna be your friend I want to be your man.” The CEO of Rags 2 Riches Logistics then got on one knee and added, “Tamar I’m here forever because I can’t see my life without you. I love you Tamara. Tamar, will you marry me?
When they were about to make a life-changing decision, the singer asked Robinson if he was sure, to which he replied, “Absolutely sure.”
Overwhelmed by the reaction, Braxton whined and nodded to her husband-to-be. She playfully added, “Now you have to tell my son and my little dads.”
The entertainer happens to have a nine-year-old son, Logan, who she shares with ex-husband Vincent Herbert. While Robinson, himself divorced, has five children with four different women.
The father-of-five, who entered “Queen Court” in the first episode, bonded with the “Understanding” singer about the loved ones they’ve lost. The singer’s older sister, Traci Braxton, died in 2022 after battling cancer, and the lawyer’s mother also died of the same illness.
Their grief strengthened their connection, with Robinson revealing that he had seen a hummingbird at his mother’s funeral, while Braxton shared that her sister said she would become a hummingbird after her death.
Additionally, a post-show update confirmed that the couple are still together six months later and are currently planning their wedding.
Braxton confirms her engagement on social media
According to the publication, Braxton broke the silence on her engagement and paid tribute to her newfound love on Instagram in honor of her birthday on March 17. She shared a heartwarming video of her and Robinson enjoying drinks at a restaurant before the lawyer issued a sweet salute for their 46th trip around the sun.
Looking thrilled to be next to the woman of his dreams, Robinson explained they would have fun in New York, Atlanta and Miami before devoting all his love to Braxton. In the accompanying caption, the “Love and War” singer gave fans a glimpse of the love they share.
“Today is my birthday but I have to post the one that puts this cheesy smile on my face,” she began. “It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, traditional love is the kind I wanted and needed.”
The Braxton Family Values star revealed that she and Robinson would have a blended family made up of six children who “mean EVERYTHING” to her. She also urged fans to miss her with the news that her fiancee has four baby mums.
