Tangerine Africa has announced a partnership with Cosharis Motors to leverage innovations that make insurance more accessible in the country’s automotive sector.
Yewande Adewusi, Group Executive Director, Commercial of Tangerine Africa, recently spoke to journalists in Lagos and said the company, through its new partnership with Cosharis Motors, is committed to using technology to ensure insurance is accessible and affordable for all be.
She also said the partnership will ensure the insurance space is trusted by end users.
Adewusi explained that the company’s intention through its partnership with Cosharis is to increase its drive for broader inclusion and accessibility to insurance in Nigeria.
She said the partnership is also in line with Tangerine Africa’s drive for more education about the values and importance of insurance.
She explained: “Cosharis is a trusted brand in the automotive space and what we are trying to bring to the market through this partnership is to seamlessly use technology to make insurance accessible and affordable for all people. We educate people about insurance and its value, anything you want to buy, you need to know the value. So once we start educating people about why insurance is important, you don’t have to pay for it just because the government made you do it. You need to see the value.”
Adewusi stressed the need to close the protection gap, as insurance shouldn’t just be the last resort people look for when a problem arises.
“Insurance is about making sure emergency situations like this don’t mess up your cash flow. It’s there because you never know when you might need it,” she explained.
Earlier, Coscharis Group CEO Abiona Babarinde noted that the company carefully selected Tangerine as one of its new partners because of the trust it has.
He added that the company has also proven to be reliable in terms of providing customers with value for money.
Babarinde explained that Coscharis Motors wants to engage and delight its customers by instilling in them the value of trust through this partnership.
He noted that the car brand has a range of vehicles that are very affordable for customers, from Renault, Jaguar, Land Rover to BMW.
