The AI-controlled smart bike is here

Acer, best known for its laptop products, has ventured into e-mobility for the first time with the launch of an AI-controlled e-bike called the ebii.

Robin Wu, manager of integrated marketing planning at Acer, introduced ebii along with the companion app ebiiGO at the Acer Global Press Conference last week.

The app’s intelligent AI assistant and adaptive mission control, ebiiAssist and ebiiRide, work together to automatically adapt to driving conditions, optimizing battery usage based on preferred assist level and desired travel route. The app provides real-time data such as driving speed, distance traveled, remaining battery and recommended routes. According to Acer, this adaptive AI-driven technology offers an ideal and customized driving experience.

The bike features a matte white finish and a lightweight aluminum alloy frame weighing 16kg. It is equipped with a rustproof carbon belt drive and deflated, puncture-proof tires from a circular economy. It has a rear collision warning sensor and lights for night driving. Accessories include a handlebar bag, a detachable basket and a luggage rack.

“It’s the ultimate e-mobility solution for city life and the perfect way to explore the outside world while minimizing your carbon footprint,” says Wu.
