A remaster of the detective duo series Starsky & Hutch is rumored to be in the works at Fox Studios, but there’s a big twist in the script as instead of the two male buddies running around solving crimes, this time the cast will be women be leading the investigation.
According to Fox Entertainment, scriptwriting is already underway and a final decision will be made after considering the potential of the scripts. If accepted, the duo will solve crimes in their offbeat town and slowly unravel the mysteries surrounding their fathers’ imprisonment for a crime they did not commit 15 years ago.

Female-led remake of Starsky & Hutch in the works at Fox Studios
The popular crime-fighting detective series Starsky & Husky is most likely to be remade as rumors surrounding the matter have recently surfaced, as famed writer Sam Sklaver, who wrote The Prodigal Son, and showrunner Elizabeth Peterson are appointed to bring it to fruition. In addition, the project is overseen by multi-billion dollar entertainment studios such as Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. The original series was created back in the 1970s and ran for 4 years from 1975 to 1979, providing quality content to its viewers.

The show’s “reimagining” will cast two female actors, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson, in place of the previously portrayed male actors, and throughout the series, the duo’s hard-built friendship and excellence will be showcased while bypassing their off-beat in Desert City solve a series of crimes and unravel the mystery behind their fathers’ illegal imprisonment for a crime they didn’t commit. Although this happened 15 years ago, the last thing they would run out of is their enthusiasm to seek the truth.

Starsky & Hutch is a hilarious action film that brings Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson together to play the iconic duo of David Starsky and Kenneth Hutchinson as they fight crime in their town, bring criminals to jail, and unravel various mysteries hiding in their town going on. The street cop duo embark on their greatest journey to bust their city’s largest drug dealership, run by drug lord Feldman, with the help of a police spy working for them.
