The Google Play Console confirms some specifications of the Galaxy A54 5G

Samsung is about to launch its 2023 premium mid-range smartphones. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G as soon as next month. Both handsets have been subject to numerous leaks in recent months. Now that the rumored launch is getting closer, they are also appearing in official capacities. Samsung recently added support pages for them to its website, while we’ve also seen one or both phones in some certification listings. The Galaxy A54 5G was last spotted on the Google Play Console.

The Galaxy A54 5G appears on the Google Play Console website

The Google Play Console listing for the Galaxy A54 5G spotted by MySmartPrice confirms some of its rumored specs. We can see that the device packs a Samsung processor labeled “S5E8835”. That’s none other than the Exynos 1380 that the Korean company launched a few days ago. The chipset features four ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. It gets a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU that operates at a maximum frequency of 950MHz along with an onboard NPU that offers up to 4.9 trillion operations per second (TOPS).

The Google Play Console also revealed that the Galaxy A54 5G will come in a 6GB RAM variant. This is in contrast to previous rumors that Samsung will only offer the phone with 8GB of RAM worldwide. Maybe it’s a regional thing, we’ll have to wait and see. However, most markets should get 128GB and 256GB storage options. The device also has a microSD card slot in case you need more storage. You can add up to 1TB of external storage to the phone, which is a lot.

This listing confirmed the presence of a Full HD+ resolution (1080 × 2340 pixels) display on the Galaxy A54 5G with a pixel density of 450 DPI. We’re looking at a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Last but not least, Google Play Console tells us that the phone will launch Android 13 from day one. We expect Samsung to ship the device with One UI 5.1 right away. The latest iteration of its custom Android software debuted on the Galaxy S23 series and has recently rolled out to other Galaxy models.

The new Samsung mid-ranger can record 4K videos

While the Google Play Console doesn’t give us any other notable information about the Galaxy A5 5G, previous leaks have indicated that Samsung will be outfitting the phone with a primary 50-megapixel rear camera. It’s flanked by a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro camera on the rear, along with a 32MP selfie shooter. The handset features OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is capable of recording 4K videos.

Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IP67 protection rating and stereo speakers are part of the package. The whole setup is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charge support. Stay tuned for the official launch in a few weeks.
