According to the renowned leaker BenchLeaks, the RTX 4090 is on the way to gaming notebooks. The new GPU will be faster than the desktop version of the RTX 3090. In addition, it will have as many CUDA cores as the RTX 4080 16GB desktop graphics card. RTX 4090 is almost 50% faster than non-laptop version of RTX 3070 according to leaker.
GeekBench benchmark results for a laptop – “Notebook X370SNx” – with the GPU paired with a Raptor Lake CPU and 32GB of RAM have also been released. The card scores respectable numbers and makes high-quality, bulkier rigs look shoddy.
There is no information on the launch date of this flagship mobile GPU. Additionally, users should take the below leaked information with a grain of salt as the alleged “Notebook X370SNx” is not yet a confirmed laptop.

The leaked laptop GPU will be Team Green’s flagship option for notebooks. An official specification list for the graphics card is not yet available. However, based on the leaks, a pretty good blueprint of what to expect from the map can be obtained.
The laptop the card was tested on is a flagship option from an anonymous manufacturer. The device packs a Core i9 13900HX chip, which was previously rumored to be a high-end chip. However, it has recently been confirmed that the 13980HX will be a high-end alternative to this CPU.
In addition, the specifications of the graphics processor were also announced. Like the RTX 4080 desktop card, the Nvidia card is based on the AD103 GPU.
The RTX 4090 laptop version packs 9,728 CUDA cores, which is identical to the full-size RTX 4080 offering. It is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and can accelerate up to 2040MHz. The GPU is clocked slower than the desktop variants of the 4090. This is not a surprise since laptops have a lower power limit and thermal headroom compared to larger non-portable PCs. The detailed specification list of mobile graphics card is shown in the table below.
In terms of performance, the RTX 4090 laptop GPU is expected to match and even outperform the RTX 3090 Ti desktop graphics card. However, the element will not be energy efficient. The nominal TDP is 150W, and the 4090 can draw an additional 25W of power when it hits the boost clock speed limit.
The performance values of the laptop GPU were also leaked. The GeekBench OpenCL benchmark score on the card is 210,920, which is close to the RTX 3090 Ti’s numbers.
The RTX 4090 laptop card marks the first time a ’90s-class GPU is coming to laptops. The graphics card specs look promising and will be the fastest portable GPU ever.
