I like pancakes. I do. I love their soft and fluffy texture and how delicious they are with butter and maple syrup. But to be honest, I prefer waffles. They are a combination of fluffy and crunchy! Plus they have these wonderful pockets that can hold a lot more butter and syrup than their flat counterparts. Fortunately, there are a number of excellent waffle makers on the market, but my absolute favorite is the Krups Belgian waffle maker. I bought it in 2017 and it’s still going great! At just $80, it’s always been pretty affordable, but now you can score one for as little as $70 thanks to an on-page coupon.

There is so much to love about this device. First, it’s big enough to bake four square waffles at once! I can easily use up an entire batch of dough in just two rounds. That makes it perfect for a large gathering, whether you’re feeding your family or inviting friends over for brunch.

Plus, the results are delicious! My favorite recipe is this one for Overnight Brown-Butter Yeast-Raised Waffles because it uses brown butter (yummy!) and the batter wakes up ready to use in the morning. This is where your brown comes in. All you have to do is plug it in and wait for it to reach temperature. The green indicator light will turn on and a warning tone will sound to let you know the battery is ready.

Then pour in the appropriate amount of batter (I suggest about 1/4 cup of batter per square) and set your desired level of browning – there are five different levels, from light to dark. Just give it a few minutes and the machine will beep again to let you know it’s done!

However, my favorite feature of this waffle maker is that it has removable, dishwasher safe plates. Also, they have a non-stick coating, so I don’t bother greasing or spraying them with oil as the waffles come off pretty easily without them. This makes it incredibly easy to clean.

Another thing I love about the Krups Belgian Waffle Maker is that it’s so easy to store – just coil the cord in the back and you can stand it upright in your kitchen cupboard, freeing up valuable countertop space becomes.

If you’re a breakfast or brunch lover — or maybe a waffle fanatic, then you’re going to want to snag one of these babes.
