As the PMGC League 2022 approaches day by day, anticipation is growing among fans around the world for its first phase, the Group Stage, as it has three Grand Final slots for each group.
Group Red matches will initially be played on November 10-13, with 16 teams battling it out for three Grand Finals slots. The next eight teams advance to the Survival stage while the final five are eliminated from the event.
The top five teams that could do well in PMGC Group Red
5) Bigetron RA (Indonesia)
It is a big name in PUBG Mobile Esports as its team offered great gameplay in 2019 and 2020 and won many big titles. However, the team is no longer in the form it was two years ago.
Although their superstar roster isn’t the same as it was then, twin brothers and star players Zuxxy and Luxxy still play for the team.
Bigetron Red Aliens seal their place in the PMGC League from regional points. Aside from the brothers, the members of the squad at the upcoming event are Liquid, Misery and GenFos.
The team hopes to uphold its legacy and live up to fans’ expectations by showcasing some amazing competitive exploits.
4) Affect Chemin (Brazil)
The Brazilian team has excelled in their regional events this year as they have won back-to-back American Championships. Apart from that, the team has also offered exceptional gameplay in other events.
Led by Pro Law, the six-man roster features veteran players like Federal, Caiowski, Lilboy and Gxlden. These players have been in PUBG Mobile Esports for a long time and have the ability to control any tournament.
Federal, Caiowski and Gxlden were part of Loops Esports in PMGC 2020 but due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the league the team was disqualified from the event. These experienced players will aim to showcase their coordinated performances to capture the title.
3) LGD Games (China)
With Chinese teams dominating PUBG Mobile Esports for the past three years, LGD Gaming has made the list and is expected to do well at the event. While this is their first global event, the team competes in the high-profile Chinese event PEL, so their players have plenty of experience and the ability to play under high pressure.
The roster includes star player ChengC, who was bought by the organization for a hefty $1.8 million transfer fee. Suki and YZZ are also two famous, prolific players who have performed brilliantly at their regional events.
2) The Infinity (Thailand)
The Thai team has competed in several major PUBG Mobile events and has excelled in global and regional competitions in the past. This is the second time the team has qualified for the Global Championship as the team finished sixth at the previous PMGC.
They clinched the PMPL SEA Championship Fall title after showing one-sided dominance throughout the event. The team was also crowned champions of the PUBG Mobile Regional Clash, which featured Chinese and SEA teams respectively.
1) Nigma Galaxy (Iraq – Saudi Arabia)
Nigma Galaxy showed a consistent performance in the PMGC 2021, finishing fifth and third in the league and the Grand Finals. The Iraqi team has always impressed everyone with their controlled gameplay and consistent performances in recent years.
In August 2021, Saudi Arabia-based Galaxy Racers took over the Gunz Esports roster, which had exhibited exceptional performances in many major competitions.
However, the team did not fare well at the PMPL MENA Championship 2022 Fall, finishing 12th overall. The team will once again strive to be consistent in the $4M mega event.
