WhatsApp for iOS gets Status Reactions, link creations for calls and other features | Digit

WhatsApp has released a new stable update for iOS users. According to WABetaInfo, the update is available on the Apple App Store and users can download it on their iPhone. But does it come with any new features? As it turns out, the latest WhatsApp version for iOS has several new features, including status reactions, a feature that has been in development for a long time. Here are all the new features of the latest WhatsApp for iOS.

Features of WhatsApp for iOS v22.21.75: Status Reactions

WhatsApp for iOS v22.21.75 is live on the App Store. Those using older versions of the app can go to the App Store and update WhatsApp to get all the new features of the update. The main highlight of this update is the status reaction feature, which allows users to react with emojis to status updates posted by others. Remember how Instagram allows users to react to others’ stories by swiping up and choosing an emoji from eight available options? The WhatsApp Status Reactions feature looks identical.

The update also includes call linking and better admin control

The new version includes the ability to create and share a link for WhatsApp calls from the Calls tab. Since many people use WhatsApp for work, the feature comes in handy to organize WhatsApp calls and invite people to the call. In the past, users have complained that they accidentally pressed “delete for me” and didn’t get the message back. Well, WhatsApp fixed that with the new iOS update as the latest version has a feature that allows users to undelete for me for a few seconds.

WhatsApp for iOS v22.21.75 also includes a feature where only admins are notified when someone leaves a group. As a reminder, the platform has been working on this feature for quite some time. Another feature empowering group admins allows them to delete others’ messages for everyone in a way that all participants can see who deleted them. With this feature, admins can better combat hate speech or inappropriate comments in the group. It’s important to mention that while WhatsApp is rolling out these features to iOS users, it may be a while before everyone gets them. Unfortunately, there is no word on when these features will be available for Android users.
