Yung Joc has never been shy about showing his creative side. Aside from his music, the Atlanta rapper has proudly showcased some pretty interesting hairstyles — from long to short, green to blonde — he’s tried it all. Or did he?
Yesterday (March 9), a video of Joc with an intricate 3D haircut showing Tupac’s likeness resurfaced on the internet. The original footage was uploaded to social media in 2019, but as we all know, the internet has a way of digging up the past again. In the clip, the “It’s Goin’ Down” hitmaker wore green braids atop his head and featured the late West Coast rapper’s face on the lower left. But it wasn’t just Pac’s face that stole the show, even Joc’s hair had a hairdo. The California Love artist had a kind of high-top fade on his head.

In both 2019 and this week, some of his antics seemed tired. “Tupac [looks] so about his mess,” read one tweet. Overall, however, social media users couldn’t deny the barber’s skills. “Anyone who cuts their hair deserves all the compliments. He did that!!!!! But the rest of his hair has to go. Just cut off the rest,” said one, who didn’t feel the green braids at the top. Another pointed out Pac’s accessories added to Joc’s head: “Bro has the piercings [and] everyone.” Others marveled at the creativity: “Lmfaooo, that [is] fun and clean at the same time,” added another post.
Joc has been experimenting with bold styles for years and last month Hype Hair recognized his ingenuity by honoring him on their February/March cover. “Captions are great when you want to tell about your life. Your intentions will yield whatever your heart truly desires. Thank you to everyone involved who made this day possible,” he wrote alongside an Instagram photo showing the finished product.
