Yung Miami’s Dream of Being ‘Next Black Oprah’ Got Social Media Buzzing

Yung Miami has been trending weekly since the debut of her podcast, caresha please. The 28-year-old City Girl member hosts her own show on Revolt, a network owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs, who she is currently dating. She has so far interviewed Diddy, her City Girl group member JT, self-proclaimed hottie Meg Thee Stallion, “Icy” rapper Saweetie and Kevin Gates. Since the podcast’s debut, she and her subjects have become viral memes and clips that are circulated across all social media platforms. Views are in the millions per episode. And now she’s aiming to take the daytime talk show and/or podcast space by storm.

In an interview with XXL, the South Florida native was asked about her next goals in terms of improving her interviewing skills. “I want to take it to the next level,” she replied. “I dream big. I want to go to the highest of the highest. I want to be Black Oprah.” She says how the show came about because it was driven by fan requests due to its ongoing viral moments.

“People who just love to hear me talk, you know? Whenever I talk or whenever I move on [Instagram] It’s going viral live,” she explained. “One day I was talking to Diddy and he said, ‘Yeah, [you] should do a podcast. It would do you good,” and that’s how it came out. It was just a conversation where I just kept going viral because of the way I speak and the exposure I used to get through Instagram Live.”

Though she has fans, many are baffled by her “Black Oprah” statement. Social media users go crazy over her reactions.
